Obituary
Mrs. Willard Thompson, 86, of 725 E. Pine St., Mahanoy City, died Thursday at her residence.
Born in Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 25, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Young Bryant.
She lived in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., most of her life.
She attended Knoxville schools and received a master's degree in education from Indiana State University.
She specialized in special education for many years in the Fort Lauderdale area.
She was a member of Restoration Fellowship Church, Shenandoah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Thompson; and a daughter, Edna, in 2004.
Surviving are a son, Alvin Thompson and his wife Maureen (Zarcufsky), Mahanoy City; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
