Virginia (Ginny) Uholick McBryde, 64, formerly of Shenandoah & Las Vegas NV, passed away Monday October 14 at her home in Frackville, surrounded by her loving daughter, 3 grandsons and her faithful dogs, Baron & Cammy.
Born in Shenandoah on December 8, 1948, she was the daughter of the late John "Abe" & Anna (Milus) Uholick.
She graduated in 1966 from High School. Served as Cheerleading Coach for the former Vice President Midget Football, Shenandoah. Graduated form Empire Beauty School. She owned and operated the Ginny Uholick Beauty Shop in Shenandoah until its closing to move to the "Fabulous Las Vegas".
She lived a very exciting life in Las Vegas as a Keno runner at the former Sands Hotel & Casino. She met and waited on numerous celebrities such as Red Skelton, Phyllis Dillar, Elvis , Liberachi just to name a few. She was last employed at the former Miners Bank/ Sovereign Bank as a teller CSR, Corporate Receptionist and as Assistant Manager in the Shenandoah Branch. Upon her early Retirement, she was the care giver for 7 years to her mother, Anna until her passing in 2009.
She was preceded in death by a brother John "Jackie" Uholick.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Michelle Seritsky, her grandsons Addison Hummel, Ari Keim & Abe Foley, all of Frackville. Also by her good friend and aunt Helen Wolsky, her cousin Walter "Robin"and Marth Wolsky all of Las Vegas, her former sister in law and close friend Patsy (Uholick) Gadinski, Pottsville, Cousins, a niece and a nephew.
Virginia's whole life was centered around her family. She was very generous to her family and would enjoy seeing the smiles on their faces. Her 3 grandsons Addison Ari and Abe were the lights of her life. She spent all of her time with them. She loved to travel to Hawaii, the east and west coast, but most of all her favorite place to visit was during her numerous trips to Disney World, Florida. She also enjoyed fine dining.
