Violet Burke 92, formerly of Mahanoy City, died Saturday morning at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Violet was born in Mahanoy City, a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Kuchinsky. She attended local schools and was employed by Eagle Brothers, formerly of Mahanoy City until her retirement.

She was a member of Blessed Teresa Of Calcutta RC parish Mahanoy City and had been active in the Golden Age Club, Red Hat Society and her church choir.

Her husband Joseph Burke preceded her in death in 1995, as well as a brother Edward Kuchinsky and sisters Helen Syzdek and Stasia Dick. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Violet is survived by a son Joseph and his wife Lynn of Fairfax VA, daughter Karen Patrick of Park Place Mahanoy City. She has 5 grandchildren and one great grand child.

Friends may call Tuesday at Blessed Teresa Parish from 8 am till Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment will be in St. Casimir Cemetery Mahanoy City where a white dove will be released in her memory. Louis D.
