Thomas J. Norkevich

Thomas J. Norkevich , 63, Mahanoy City passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, June 24 ^th .

Born in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late John and Gertrude Norkevich. He was employed as a prison guard at SCI Mahanoy until his retirement.

Before working at the prison, Tom was an Air Force Veteran, serving from 1977 to 1994 receiving the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Tom was a member of the American Legion Post 74, Mahanoy City. He was an avid chess player.

Tom is survived by his son, Vaughn Norkevich, Mahanoy City.

Funeral services will be held at 6 pm on Friday, July 1 ^st from the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home, Mahanoy City. Friends are invited to his visitation at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville on Tuesday, July 5th at 11 a.m.
