Obituary
Stephen J. Honushefsky Jr., 57, of Mahanoy City, died Saturday at the
Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville.
Born in Mahanoy City, he was a son of the late Stephen and Mary Martaus Honushefsky. He was a 1968 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School.
He had worked for Schultz Tire for 26 years and was employed by Altadis USA Inc., McAdoo, for the last 14 years.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War era.
He was a member of Salem Evangelical Church, Mahanoy City.
Stephen was an avid hunter and loved his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria McAfee Honushefsky; two daughters, Margie Hair and Stacy Harlor, both of Mahanoy City; a brother, Jerry "Honus" Honushefsky, Mahanoy City; a sister, Tina Gnall, Mahanoy City; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Wednesday at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home Inc. Viewing at 9am. Service will start at 11AM with interment at the German Protestant Cemetery Mahanoy City where a White Dove will be released in his memory.
