Sophia M. Donella, 86, of Mahanoy City died at home Saturday morning. A daughter of the late George and Anna Eskucst, Wilner she was a life long resident of Mahanoy City and was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School.

Sophia was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta parish Mahanoy City and was previously a member of the "Knights of Lithuania Council 144, and the parish Rosary Society" She was a past Treasurer of the Lithuanian Alliance of Chicago. She was the proprietor of Donella Electric Supply Mahanoy City which she ran with her husband.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William A. Donella, a son William J. Donella and a grandson Adam Donella, by brothers John, Andrew, Stephen and George Wilner, and sisters Ann Sabet, Mary Kurncavage and Helen Leh..

Surviving are a son Walter S. Donella Mahanoy City and daughter Kathleen wife of Charles Bridgen Tuscarora .

Sophia has 7 Grandchildren: Charles W. Bridgen, Megan Moore, Casey Donella, Jacqueline Watson, William J. Donella Jr., Daniel Donella and Freeann Donella

There are 10 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Truskowsky Funeral Home Mahanoy City Thursday Morning from 8:30 am until 10:30. Mass of Christian Burial will at 11:00am at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish.

Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery Mahanoy City where a White Dove will be released in her memory.
