Robert F. Lipsky, 86, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday at home with his family at his bedside.

Born in Pottsville, June 20, 1927, he was a son of the late William and Sophia Yankosky Lipsky.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He worked at the former Aetna Steel, was a school crossing guard at 16th and Market streets and had retired from D.G. Yuengling & Sons.

He was a lifetime member of West End Hose Company No. 7, Pottsville.

Robert was formerly a coach of Pennsylvania Bank in the Rotary Little League and later a coach of West End Hose and an umpire in the Railway Park Little League.

In addition to his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by his sisters, Helen and Victoria; and his brother, Joseph.
