Rita Rachuck of Mahanoy City died in her home Saturday evening, surrounded by her family. She was born in Mahanoy City, the daughter of the late John and Anna Chonko, Bush. She attended local schools and had worked for City Shirt until her retirement.

Rita was member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta parish Mahanoy City, the Mahanoy City Golden Age Club and the Mahanoy Area Senior Citizens.

In addition to her parents Rita was preceded in death by her husband Michael in 1985, and by her sister Theresa Parlier.

She is survived by a son Michael J. Rachuck of Mahanoy City, and daughters Mary Hillibush New Boston and Diane Rachuck at home.

Surviving are brothers John T. Bush Fredericksburg VA and Stephen Bush Bangor PA and sisters Mary Helsel Warren OH and Dolores Vinchur Manville NJ. Her grand-children are Robert and Rachel Hillibush. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends May call Thursday at Blessed Teresa Parish Church from 10 am until mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.

Interment will be in the Assumption BVM Cemetery Mahanoy City.
