Richard P. Novatka, 42, of Schuylkill Haven and formerly of Shenandoah, passed away unexpectedly Saturday.

Born in Pottsville, July 29, 1971, he was the son of Paul and Darlene (Flickinger) Novatka, Shenandoah.

He was a 1989 graduate of Shenandoah Valley Jr/Sr High School.

He was employed by Guilford Mills, Pine Grove, as a warehouse worker.

Rich will forever be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Lois Novatka, and his maternal grandparents, Edward and Flora Flickinger.

He is survived by his two brothers: David with whom he resided, and Shawn, Shenandoah; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
