Rhonda S. Chalkan, 62, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, March 22nd, at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Rhonda was born in Tunkhannock, PA on May 20, 1954, a daughter of Elizabeth (Wheeland) Pickering and the late Harold Pickering.

Rhonda had graduated from Tunkhannock Area High School Class of 1972.

She worked as a CNA at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center, and also had worked for Columbia Montour Home Health.

She loved going on Cruises often and she also loved her Bowling, and walking her dog Otto.

She was the wife of John Chalkan.

Rhonda is also survived by a daughter, Kimberly Welliver, of Springville; a step daughter, Heather Chalkan, of Forest VA; and by two brothers, Harold Pickering, of Tunkhannock; Roger Pickering, of Tunkhannock. She is also survived by 3 Grand Children.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her daughter Megan.
