Regina Jeanne Dougherty, 72, of Mahanoy City died Tuesday at Geisinger Medical Center Danville.
Jeanne was born in Frackville a daughter of the late John A. and Blanche Dubitsky Gill. She was a 1960 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School, received an associate degree from McCanns School of business, attended the Chicago Wilton School of Cake Decorating, and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Marywood University Scranton.
She was employed by Congressmen Ivor Fenton in Washington DC, the J&A Restaurant and Bake Shop Mahanoy City, Prudential Insurance, and Longwood Marketing in Tenn.
She was of the Catholic Faith.
Was a member and past president of the Mahanoy City ELKS BPOE 695 Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband John in 1984. Surviving is a brother John Gill and his wife Betty in Phoenix AZ, a sister Bernadine Holstein Coatesville PA, by nephews and nieces, John Jeffrey Holstein, BernieAnn Smith, Matt Gill, Nancy Skuodas, Angela Bashinsky. Also are surviving are grand nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday 9am until time of service at 11am at the funeral home in Mahanoy City.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery Shenandoah.
