Ray Eichman, 68, of Mahanoy City, passed away Sunday at his residence.
Born in Waterbury, Conn., May 8, 1945, he was a son of the late Peter and Blanche Maschal Eichman.
A graduate of Mahanoy City High School, he worked for the federal government, Washington D.C.
Ray served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, the Mahanoy City Historical Society, and the Mahanoy Area Alumni Association.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a brother, Peter.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Gurski, Hazleton; two brothers, Thomas Eichman, Mahanoy City, and Robert Eichman, Philadelphia; nieces, Leslie Richardson, Shannon Gurski and Michelle Eichman; and nephews, Brian Eichman and Matthew Gurski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
