Peter Keeler, 74, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Monday, February 1st, peacefully, at his residence.
Peter was born in Kelayres, PA on August 17, 1941, a son of the late Viola (Boyer) and John Keeler.
He attended St. Kunegunda and McAdoo High School.
Pete was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City.
He was a retired Carpenter for Union Local 245.
Pete loved to Hunt and Fish. Since retirement he loved to take care of his vegetable garden, cook and loved working in his woodshop. He especially loved to make his home made bread, pizza and tomato sauce.
He was the husband of Elizabeth (Betty) Keeler.
Peter is survived by a daughter, Roxanne Dura, of West Hazleton; three sons Jess Keeler, of Mahanoy City; Christopher Obrzut, of Mahanoy City; Peter Keeler, of Pahrump Nevada. Peter is also survived by a brother, John Keeler and his wife Donna, of Castanea PA.
He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren Ryan and Thomas Dura, and Ryan and Justin Obrzut, 1 neice and 1 nephew.
Pete was preceded in death by a sister Carol Keeler Rafalli.
A Religious Service will be held at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. , Mahanoy City, PA, at 10 AM on Friday, February 5th, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.
Friends may call Thursday 6 to 8 PM and Friday from 9 AM until time of service at the funeral home in Mahanoy City.
Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery McAdoo, PA.
