Mrs. Olive Bashinsky, 90, of Mahanoy City, passed away Saturday at Manor Care Health Services, Pottsville.
Mrs. Bashinsky was born in Mahanoy City, April 25, 1922, a daughter of the late Harold and Emma Barthold Thomas.
She graduated from Mahanoy City High School.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcut- ta Parish, Mahanoy City,
She had worked at Russell Williams Clothing Factory.
Olive loved to read and visit the casinos. She use to sing for weddings and was in her church choir. She also loved to dress up and have a good time with her friends.
She was the widow of Felix Bashinsky.
Proceeded in death by a brother Harold.
Olive is survived by sons, Felix Bashinsky, Mahanoy Plane, and Tom Bashinsky, Barnesville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, with Father Kevin Gallagher and Father James Carroll officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 until time of Mass on Thursday at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Park Hometown.
