Nellie Medwick, 93, of, Mahanoy City, passed away Monday at her home.

Born in Delano, July 19, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Wassil and Kathryn Chrusch Corinchock.

She was a 1935 graduate of Delano High School.

She was a lifetime member of the former St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mahanoy City.

She served in the Navy (Waves) from November 1943 to January 1946.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Medwick; brothers, John Corinchock and Michael Corinchock; and a sister, Mary Dudra.

Surviving are sons, George Medwick, Kennett Square, and Gerald Medwick, Wexford; a sister, Anna Pappas; and a sister-in-law, Nell Gardner, Bethesda, Md.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, with the Rev. James Carroll officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be St. Nicholas Ukrainian Cemetery, Mahanoy City, where a white dove will be released in her memory.
