Nellie Lobichusky, 93, of 438 W. Centre St., Mahanoy City, died Monday morning at St. Luke Miners' Memorial Hospital, Coaldale.
She was born in Mahanoy City on Oct. 17, 1915.
Nellie
had been a proprietor along with her husband, Joseph, of the First Ward
Bakery, which was later called the Lobichusky Bakery, Mahanoy City.
She
was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Tamaqua,
Catholic Daughters, Lithuanian Women's Club, Mahanoy City BPOE 395 Elks
Auxiliary and a member of the former Grey Ladies of Locust Mountain
Hospital.
Her husband, Joseph, died on Sept. 11, 2003.
Surviving
are sons, Dr. Joseph Lobichusky, Barnesville, and Ronald Lobichusky,
Nesquehoning; a daughter, Patricia Boyle, Mahanoy City; a sister,
Marcella Karlavage, Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning; five
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Friends
may call from 10 a.m. Thursday at Ss. Peter and Paul Church. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment
will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, where a white dove will be
released at the gravesite in her memory.
