Velma Nancy John, 84, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, March 6th, at her residence.

Nancy was born in Frackville, PA on September 19, 1939, a daughter of the late Ann and Peter Gerasinovich.

She was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City.

Nancy worked in the garment industry in Shenandoah.

She had belonged to the Mahanoy City ELKS and the Mahanoy City VFW.

Nancy was the widow of Charles John.

Nancy is survived by two daughters, Charlene, wife of Todd Troup, of Frackville;

Sondra John, of Mahanoy City; a brother, Steven Geras, of Reading.

She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, and 9 Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Nancy is preceded in death by her daughter Debra, and Sisters Catherine Hollenbach, Marie Miller, and Anna Waiksnoris.

Funeral Service at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, PA, at 11 AM on Monday, March 11th,  with Deacon Dave Henninger officiating.
