Nadine Ortez-Belaus 52, of Pottsville Pa died early Christmas morning after some chronic illness and several battles of pneumonia and open heart surgery.

Nadine was born on June 25th 1966 in Carbondale Pa. She is a graduate of Carbondale Area High School.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Emily Merrigan.

Nadine is survived by her sons Shawn Ortez of Colorado, Christopher Belaus of Schuylkill Haven, and daughter Julianna Belaus of Pottsville.

She will be missed by so many friends and family. Nadine was known as "MOM" to many of the neighborhood children and many others. Her door and heart were always open to those she loved and those in need or even strangers on the street.

A memorial service will be held at the Pottsville Zone on Saturday January 5th, 2019 from 11-3pm. Doors are open to anyone who wishes to attend and send their condolences or say their finally goodbyes to a beautiful and amazing soul known as Nadine aka MOM.
