Michael
Fernandez, 53, a resident of Rest Haven nursing home, Schuylkill Haven,
died Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Grier City, Barnesville, he was a son of the late Christina Fernandez.
He lived in Grier City most of his life and attended Mahanoy Area schools.
He was a member of St. Richard Roman Catholic Church, Barnesville.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph.
Surviving are two brothers, Manuel Fernandez and his wife, Carol, Mahanoy City, and James Fernandez and his wife, Lois, Middletown; a sister, Madeline and her husband, Jack Davidock, Lexington, S.C.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Canicus Cemetery, Mahanoy City, where a white dove will be released at the grave site in his memory.
