Matilda Mooney, 68, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Thursday, September 6th, at Lehigh Valley East Norwegian, Pottsville.

Matilda was born in Mahanoy City, PA on May 8, 1950, a daughter of the late Christine (Bowers) and Malachi Clark.

She graduated from Mahanoy Area Class of 1969.

She worked at City Shirt in Mahanoy City and also in the Home Health Care industry.

She was wife of the late Charles "Gunk" Mooney.

Matilda is survived by four daughters, Eve Mooney, of Mt Carmel; Christine Mooney, of Mahanoy City; Sharleen Mooney, of Mahanoy City; Amanda Mooney, of Mahanoy City;

a son, William Mooney, of Mahanoy City; and by a brother, John Clark, of Mahanoy City.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by brothers Anthony, James, Malachi, and Joseph.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
