Obituary

Mary Sincavage age 90 of Mahanoy City died after a short illness at the Schuylikll Medical Center South Jackson Street Pottsville Thursday.

Mary was the daughter of the late Andrew and Barbara Gasper Henkel. She was raised in Grier City and was a 1941 graduate of Delano High School and lived most of her life in Mahanoy City.

After high school she worked at the General Motors plant in Trenton NJ building Avenger fighter planes for the US Navy for the war effort in WWII. She was "Rosie the Riveter"

She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta RC parish in Mahanoy City.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Sincavage Sr. in 2009, by her son Edward Sincavage Jr. in May 2014. She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded by brothers PFC Joseph Henkel in Germany WWII, Andrew and Steven Henkel, sisters Margaret Cardarelli and Anne Corinchock.

Surviving are grandchildren Edward Sincavage and his wife Amanda of Auburn, Leslie Sincavage and his fiancée Leslie of Weatherly, Michael Sincavage and his fiancée Jamie of Auburn and Jennifer Patterson and her husband Matt of Cressona and 8 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be Thursday December 4. Friends may call at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta church from 9 am until mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment will be in SkyView Memorial Park in Hometown.
