Mary Ann Blashock, age 80 of Ringtown died Thursday morning at Lehigh Valley Medical center East Norwegian Street Pottsville.

Mary Ann was born in Coaldale, the daughter of the late Thomas Ernst and Catherine Hanley Ernst. She attended the Grier City School. She had also lived in Buck Mountain and most of her life in Ringtown.

In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband Francis J. Blashock Sr. in 2008 and by a brother Thomas Ernst.

Mary Ann is survived by sons Francis Jr. of Pattersonville, John of Ringtown, and Paul of Zion Grove and by her daughter Deborah Petrill of Ringtown. She has a brother Michael Ernst of Mahanoy City and a sister Theresa Price of Mahanoy Plane. She has 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Saint Teresa of Calcutta RC parish of Mahanoy City.

Her funeral will be Monday 10:30 am from the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. Mahanoy City followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11, Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 until the time of the funeral.

Interment will be in Sky View Memorial Park Hometown where a white dove will be released in her memory.
