Mary H. Bienkowski, 88, of Frackville, died Tuesday at Saint Catherine Medical Center Fountain Springs.
Born in Mahanoy City, July 28, 1922 , she is a daughter of the late Onufry and Cecilia Vaicekouskas Klimachusky.
She had lived in Rockville, Conn., for 30 years before returning to live in Frackville.
She was a 1940 graduate of Mahanoy City High School and a graudate of Empire Beauty School.
She was employed at City Shirt, Mahanoy City, she also worked for Atlas Powder Plant, Tamaqua, and as a waitress at the Mansion Restaurant in Mahanoy City.
She was the widow of Stephen Bistonish, who died in 1962, and Chester Bienkowski, who died in 2000.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Michael Klimachusky, and a sister, Anna Marcello.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Kostingo and her husband, Joseph, Maizeville; and a granddaughter, Mary Madelon Kostingo, Allentown.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City. Friends and family may call at 9 a.m. Friday at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home Inc., Mahanoy City. Interment will be in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, Mahanoy City, where a white dove will be released in her memory.
