Mary Ellen Fronczak, 56, of Morea, Mahanoy City, passed away Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.Born in Mahanoy City, Sept. 6, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Anna Copley Whalen.She worked as a waitress at Granny's Restaurant, Frackville.She
was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Parish and a
member of the former St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Whalen.Surviving
are her husband, Thomas J. Fronczak Sr.; a daughter, Tracy Burke,
Shamokin; a son, Thomas Fronczak, Morea; brothers, Joseph Whalen,
Frackville, James Whalen, Georgia, and Edward Whalen, Allentown; a
grandchild, Christopher; nieces and nephews. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Blessed
Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City. Friends may call from 6 to 8
p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. Thursday at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral
Home Inc., Mahanoy City. Interment will be in St. Casimir Cemetery,
Mahanoy City, where a white dove will be released in her memory.
