Margaret Ann "Peggy" Wirtz, aged 79, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, at Broad Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 6, 1945, in Mahanoy City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Morgans) and William Woodall.

Peggy was a proud graduate of Mahanoy Area High School, Class of 1962. She dedicated several years of her career to working at Mahanoy City Shirt. Peggy found joy in crafting alongside her beloved husband, William Wirtz.

She is survived by her husband, William, and their four sons: William Jr., husband of Karen, of Mahanoy City; Allen, of Mahanoy City; Thomas, husband of Candida, of Pittsboro, NC; and Tim, husband of Kristin, of Ashland. Peggy was also a cherished grandmother to five grandchildren: Allyson, Michael, Sophie, Rayla, and Gracelyn. She was predeceased by her grandchildren, Brayden and Angelray.

A funeral service will be held at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, PA, at 11 AM on Monday, October 14th, with Colby Delbalso officiating. Friends and family are invited to call on Monday from 9 to 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the German Protestant Cemetery Association in Mahanoy City, PA.
