Linda Amato, 66, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away peacefully Sunday at her home with her family at her side.

Linda was born in Marietta, GA on December 12, 1956, a daughter of Paul Techentine and the late Jean (Yiengst) Techentine.

Linda graduated from Mahanoy Area High School class of 1974 and went on to help manage and work within the family business, Amato's Pizza, for the last 45 years.

Linda was a member of the Mahanoy City ELKS Lodge 695. She enjoyed reading, fishing, going to the beach, and watching her grandson's sporting events.

She was the wife of Joe Amato.

Linda is also survived by a daughter, Marci, wife of Jim Pehanick, of Hazleton; a sister, Paula Wonsock, of Mahanoy City, a brother, Todd, husband of Leeann Techentine, of Barnesville;

She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren; Andrew, Kyle, Oliva, Chloe, and Isabelle; also nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Linda's name, to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
