Obituary
Leonard Dower, 88, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 23rd, peacefully, at Manor Care Health Services, Pottsville.
Leonard was born in Mahanoy City, PA on December 23, 1926, a son of the Late Ralph P. and Bessie (Richards) Dower.
A Graduate of Mahanoy City High School. Served in the Korean War. Was a Merchant Marine for many years. Retired as a Maintenace man at Sears in the Schuylkill Mall. Post retirement Leonard enjoyed wood crafting, reading the paper, and following his favorite sports teams.
He was the husband of the late Pauline (Cauffman) Dower whom he adored.
Leonard is survived by a daughter, Grandson Christopher Wilson, and two Great Grandchildren, and two nephews.
Preceded in death by his son Leonard Paul Dower, a sister Phyllis Mccormick, and a brother Rev. Ralph Dower.
There will be a private family viewing and interment to be held at the convenience of the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Mahanoy City Public Library.
