Leona V. Bushick, 80, of Park Place, Mahanoy City, died early Friday morning peacefully at her home.

Dolly was born in Mahanoy City , the daughter of the late Michael Kravetz and the former Veronica Wargo.

She was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School class of 1947 and had worked for Eagle Bros. Shirt Factory formerly of Mahanoy City.

She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta RC church and had been previously active in her church choir and rosary society.

Dolly was also a member of the Mahanoy Area Senior Citizens and the Mahanoy City Golden Age Club.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John in 1973, a sister Margaret Kravetz in 2006, by brothers Michael in 1962 and John in 1991.
Surviving are two sisters Ann Melinchock Roslyn PA and Mary Lou Thorick Frackville. Also surviving is a son John Bushick and his wife Ann of Jacksonville FL and a daughter Lisa Lecorchick Pottsville. Three grand daughters Melissa Fetco at home, Danielle and Michelle Fetco of Park Place, a great grand daughter Amelia Park Place and a son-in-law Michael Fetco Park Place. Also nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home Mahanoy City. Funeral will take place Tuesday 9:30 AM from the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM at Blessed Teresa Parish with interment in St. Casimir Cemetery Mahanoy City where a White Dove will be released in her memory.
