Josephine Miskinis, 91, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Saturday, February 15th, peacefully, at her residence.
Josephine was born in Shenandoah, PA on June 20, 1922, a daughter of the late Mary (Treigys) and Joseph Lestusky.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, PA 17948.
Josephine was the Proprietor of the former Lestusky's Café & then Josephine's Café in Mahanoy City. She also worked for Broad Mountain Nursing Home as a cook until her retirement.
She was the wife of the late George Miskinis.
Josephine is survived by a son, George, and his wife Cynthia of Lewistown, Grand children Gabrielle and Gregory and a Godchild Marlene Kruck, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a brother Albert, and sisters Mary Kruck, Helen Rodgers and Matilda Langavich.
Josephine is also survived by a sister, Mary Kruck, of Frackville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday in Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.
Interment will be in National Cemetery Fort Indiantown Gap Annville, PA.
Friends may call at the church from 10 AM Tuesday.
