John "Polo" Saworowsky, 81, of 217 S. Third St., Frackville, passed
away Tuesday at Broad Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Frackville.
Born in Shenandoah, April 12, 1928, he was the son of the late Edward and Sophie Czech Saworowsky.
He graduated from Shenandoah High School and was a member of St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah.
He was a Baltimore city police officer, where he also lived for 27 years. He was a member of the Frackville Elks.
He
was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Leonard; and four
sisters, Phyllis Zmjewski, Angela Yanonis, Isabel Beaver and Adelle
Bugda.
A religious service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at
Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home, Shenandoah. Friends may call at the
funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in
St. Casimir Cemetery, Shenandoah, where a white dove will be released
in his memory. The family prefers donations made to the charity of your
choice. Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home Inc., Shenandoah, has charge
of arrangements.
