Born in Mahanoy City, Nov. 17, 1947, he was a son of the late John V. and Mary Tarsa Kratzen. John lived in White Haven for the last 27 years.

He had been a member of the former St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City.

Surviving are a brother, Eugene J. Kraczon,? Reading; sisters, Rose Mary Kane, Clifton Heights, and Loretta Quinn, Lansdowne; nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City. Interment will be in St. Casimir Cemetery, Mahanoy City, where a white dove will be released at the graveside in his memory. Friends may call from 1 p.m. Thursday until time of services at the church. His family prefers memorial contributions to White Haven Center, White Haven.
