Joanne M. Ball age 72 of Jefferson Hills PA passed peacefully November 29, 2011. Joanne was born in Ellengowen, a daughter of the late Herbert and Grace O'Neil Buchanan and was a graduate of the Mahanoy Twp. HS class of 1957. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family.

Joanne was the beloved wife of 48 years of Victor Ball formerly of Mahanoy City and they had lived in the Pittsburgh area for many years. She is also survived by a daughter Dr. Beth Ann Schneider and her husband Frank, Venetia PA, by a son David Ball and his wife Lori, Pittsburgh, by a sister Mary D'Allessandro of Raven Run and a brother Joseph Buchanan Lebanon PA. Her grandchildren are Nicholas Schneider, Brooke and Sidney Ball.

Services were private. Memorial contributions are preferred to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
