Obituary
Joan Kane, Dallas Texas formerly of West Pine Street Mahanoy City, died Saturday in Dallas.
She was Born July 4, 1933, the daughter of the late Ann Boley Miller and Glen Miller
Joan started her career as the head nurse for Penn Central railroad which then merged with Reading Railroad. She also went on to be the head nurse at St..Paul Hospital in Dallas. She retired from Intracorp a medical review company.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Glen "Bucky" Miller
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert "Deak" Kane.
Funeral mass will be Saturday July 27, 11:30 at Blessed Teresa Of Calcutta RC Church Mahanoy City, Monsignor Anthony Wassel celebrating, followed by interment in St. Casimir cemetery Mahanoy City. There will be no calling hours
