Joan Grabosky, 89, of Brandonville, PA, passed away Saturday, January 11th, her home.

Joan was born in Sheppton, PA on July 1, 1935, of the late Anna (Serafini) and Martin Baddick.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sheppton, PA

She graduated from Sheppton High School Class of 1953.

She had worked for many years at General Cigar, Mahanoy City, PA

She enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. She enjoyed making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the bear and feeding them off her deck. Also loved going to her cabin on the Conowingo Dam, on the PA/MD border with family and her hunting trips to Maine. She was also involved in local politics and was also East Union Township Secretary for several years. Also enjoyed going on outings for ice cream with her caretaker and telling stories of her childhood.

Joan was the wife of the late Richard W. Grabosky who passed away on November 1, 2022.

Also preceded in death by a son Albert Kutsko and a sister Regina Hardy.

Joan is survived by a daughter Joan Gibbons, husband Kenneth of Ringtown. Two sons Martin, husband of Vicky Kutsko of Brandonville and Rick, Husband of Angie, of Brandodnville; three sisters, Marie Martz, of Sheppton; Anne Careyva, of Ringtown; Carol Frask , of Hazleton.

She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Jenny, Kenny, Megan, Kayla, Sarah, Anna and Leah. and also 2 Great-Grandchildren Jaime and Gretchen, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Sheppton, at 11 AM on Saturday, January 18th,  with Father Dominick Pham officiating.

Friends and Family may call Saturday from 9 to 11 AM.

Interment will follow at Annunciation Cemetery Frackville.
