Obituary

Jennie Tonione, 91, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, August 12th, peacefully, at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Jennie was born in Mahanoy City, PA on January 10, 1924, a daughter of the late Anna (Dusky) and Joseph Stancavage.

Mahanoy City High School Class of 1941.

She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church Mahanoy City.

She was a member of the Mahanoy Area Senior Citizens.

Jennie Worked at Capital Records in Burbank California, and along with her husband she owned and operated Little Ceaser Pizza Parlor, near the MGM Studios. Jennie loved to share stories of the many famous movie stars such as Mickey Rooney, and Ernest Borgnine. Jennie was an extraordinary woman who was loved by many and her sweet smile will be missed all who knew her.

She was the wife of the late Dominick Tonione.

Preceded in death by brother Joseph Stancavage, and sister Theresa Lemery. Survived by Nieces and Nephews and caretaker Sandra and Allen Majetsky of Trenton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 17th, with Father James Carroll officiating.

Friends may call Monday 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church Mahanoy City.

Interment will follow in Skyview Memorial Park Tamaqua, PA.
