ELK OF THE YEAR 2013 IS JEFFERY A. DONNELLY (POSTHUMOUSLY)
SATURDAY FEB. 23 2013
Mr. Jeffrey Donnelly, 51, of Barnesville, passed away Sunday, September 18th, 2011 near his home.
Mr. Donnelly was born in Easton, PA on June 9, 1960, the son of the late John Donnelly and survived by his mother Patricia (Morrone) Bean of Riegelsville.
He was a member of St Peters Church Barnesville.
He graduated from Easton Area High School, and Millersville College.
He worked at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in Easton during the summers while he attended High School and College. Mr. Don was a well loved Teacher at Mahanoy Area High School where he taught Shop and Technical Education "Tech Ed". He was certainly loved by all and touched many lives over the years and will be missed by all he came in contact with.
Jeff had belonged to the Mahanoy City Elks, Mahanoy City Girls Softball League, served at Mahanoy Area as an Athletic Trainer, was a loyal member of the Citizens Fire Company & Mahanoy City Ambulance where he served as Chief for many years and actively as an EMT. He also started his own Motorcycle Club called the Wild Boars Cycle Group.
He was the husband of Sharon (Zeigler) Donnelly.
Jeff is survived by Step Daughters Kim Valinski of Mahanoy City., Melissa Nefos at home, Ashley Longo of Mahanoy City and step sons Larry Levy of Mahanoy City., and Christopher Nefos of Mahanoy City. And by a sister Denise Szedelyi of Naple Fl, and a brother John H. Donnelly III of Bethlehem, survived also by 9 Step Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
Friends and Family may call Thursday September 22, 6 - 9 PM at the Mahanoy Area High School Auditorium.
A Funeral Service will in the Mahanoy Area High School Auditorium with Rev Janet Kline officiating on Friday September 23, at 11AM. Friends and relatives may call from 9AM until time of service.
Interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery Barnesville where a White Dove will be released in his memory.
Family prefers donation be made to the Hill Side SPCA. Flowers will be accepted from 1 to 4pm Thursday at Mahanoy Area High School.
