Helene Grutza, 40, of Mahanoy City, passed away Wednesday, February 17th, at home.

Helene was born in Mahanoy City, on November 25, 1975, a daughter of Wanda (Uber) Grutza and the late Gary Grutza, and step father Frank Pleban.

She was a member of Annunciation BVM Shenandoah.

Attended Mahanoy Area High School and had graduated from Shenandoah Valley High School, class of 1993.

Helene operated her family's business Grutza's Interstate Texaco.

She loved Basketball and Softball. She was a pianist. She also loved to drive fast cars and ride quads.

Helene is survived by a daughter, Kaylie Dougherty, of Shenandoah Heights;

two sons Miles Grutza and Tyler Dougherty, of Barnesville; a sister, Shannon Grutza, of Barnesville, and by her paternal grandmother Helene A. Grutza, wife of the late John J; one grand child Zeliah Grutza and a niece Shayla Barkus.

In addition to her father and grandfather, she was preceded in death by Maternal grandmother Christine Uber and niece Aadilyn Forker.

Religious Service at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, at 6 PM on Monday, February 22nd, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.

Friends may call Monday 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home in Mahanoy City.

Interment private at convenience of the Family in Annunciation BVM Cemetery Shenandoah, PA.
