Helen Yenalavage, 94, of 923 E. Market St., Mahanoy City, died Friday at Schuylkill Medical Center–East Norwegian Street.
Born in Mahanoy City, Aug. 29, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Francis Chesnusky and Stasia Wasilusky Chesnusky.
She lived in Mahanoy City her whole life.
She was a 1932 graduate of Mahanoy City High School and was employed in the local garment industry.
She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, in 1966; and a son, Frank Yenalevicz?, who died on Feb. 12.
Surviving are two sisters, Catherine Chesko, Philadelphia, and Theresa Miller, Mahanoy City.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Tuesday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Mahanoy City, where a white dove will be released at the grave site in her memory.
