Grace Richmond, 93, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Sunday, April 9th, at Lehigh Valley East Norwegian, Pottsville.

Grace was born in Mahanoy City, PA on April 2, 1930, a daughter of the late Mary (Wevurski) and Jesse Phillips.  She was the wife of the late John R. Richmond.

She graduated from Mahanoy City High School Class of 1947.

Grace was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mahanoy City, where she was very active.  Grace was a member of the choir, a Sunday school teacher and participated in numerous church groups.

She worked for many years and retired from Mahanoy Area High School where she worked in the Cafeteria.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Mahanoy City Woman's Club.

Grace is survived by a daughter, Barbara Colaizzi, of Exton; two sons John, husband of Cindy, of Frackville; Jay, partner of Lori, of Brandonville; a sister, Dorothy St. John, of Lake George, NY.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Joshua, Jennifer, Alexandra, and Jason and two great grandchildren Scarlett and Stella, as well as nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a brother Jesse, and a sister Mary Roberts.

Funeral Service at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. , Mahanoy City, PA, at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 12th, with Pastor Bob Schrepple officiating.

Friends and family may call Wednesday 9 to 11 AM at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.

Interment will follow at the German Protestant Cemetery Association Mahanoy City, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Mahanoy City Library.
