Gladys (Blume) Syzdek, 95, of Barnesville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6th at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville and entered her heavenly home to meet her Lord and Savior.

Born on August 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Evans) Blume.

She was a graduate of Mahanoy Township High School and a member of St. Richard's Church, Barnesville.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Frank Syzdek in 2001, after 56 years of marriage.

Surviving is her daughter Sandy Syzdek of Barnesville and a son Frank Syzdek and his wife Carole of Barnesville.

In addition to her husband, Gladys was preceded in death by brothers Bryce Blume, Quentin Blume and Clifton Blume.

A mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday August 12 at 11am, at St. Richard's Church with Father Finlan officiating.

Friends and family may call from 10 am at the church.

Interment will take place in St. Casimir Cemetery Mahanoy City.
