Born in Mahanoy City, he was a son of Alice Moss Zukas, Barnesville, and the late George D. Zukas.

He lived for many years in Philadelphia before moving back to Barnesville in 1975. He was a 1961 graduate of Father Judge High School Philadelphia.

He was a carpenter by trade and was of the Catholic faith. He loved to bowl.

George was preceded in death by three children, George, Deborah and Christine Zukas.

Surviving are his wife, Carmella Sanchez Zukas; stepsons, Eric Ryder, Shenandoah, and Frank Ryder and his wife, Amy, Delano; a daughter, Eileen Bushey, Philadelphia; a brother, John Zukas , Barnesville; a sister, Diane Donahue and her husband, Gerald, Barnesville; a grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Mahanoy City where a White Dove will be released at the grave side in his memory. His Family prefers memorial donations to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottmand Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111-2497.
