Obituary
George "Uncle Stumpy" Howley Jr., 69, of Mahanoy City, passed away Friday at Saint Catherine Medical Center Fountain Springs.
Born in Chester, Nov. 17, 1940, he was a son of the late George Joseph and Mae Brisach Howley.
He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Mahanoy City.
He attended local schools.
He was the husband of Marlene, and brother of Donald Howley Sr., Mahanoy City.
He is survived by caregivers, Brian (my Buddy) Howley and Sue (Staff Sergeant) Simpson, nieces, Deb Yutko and Cassie and Joy Howley; and many great-nieces and -nephews who loved him very much.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at St. Paul UCC, followed by service at noon at the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
