Obituary
George J. Lorah, Sr., 76, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, August 26th, at his residence.
George was born in Mahanoy City, PA on June 12, 1939, a son of the late Mary (Alberici) and Edwin Lorah Sr.
He was of the Catholic Faith and had served in the U.S. Army.
He worked as a Press Operator at Alcoa in Schuylkill Haven.
George was a graduate Mahanoy City High School Class of 1957.
George is survived by his former wife of 30 years Agnes Lorah, three sons Michael, George Jr., of Mahanoy City; and John, of Frackville. George is also survived by two brothers, Edwin Jr and his wife Stella, of Connecticut; and Raymond and his wife Ursula, of Florida, 3 Grandchildren Alyssa, Nicole, and step granddaughter Amanda Roddick, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a brother Ronald and a sister Dolores Luddine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 10AM on Monday, August 31st, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.
Friends may call Sunday 6-8 PM, and Monday 9 AM at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery where a white dove will be released in his memory.
