George R. Kosar, "Junior", 79, of Shenandoah, formerly of Mahanoy City, passed away Wednesday, February 14th, at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, Allentown.

George was born in Girardville, PA on May 19, 1944, a son of the late Isabelle and George Kosar.

He attended local schools.

George served in the U.S. Army.

He had worked in construction for Laborers Union Local 1174 as a Mason Tender and general laborer.

He was a member of the Park Crest Fish and Game. He loved to hunt, fish and sitting by the camp fire. He was also an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Eagles, and local sports especially Shenandoah Valley.

He was the husband of Theresa (Peregrin) Kosar.

George is survived by two sons Ron Sr., husband of  Mary Beth, of Zion Grove; George, husband of  Marsha, of Shenandoah Heights; a sister, Barbara, wife of  Walter Marcinkowski, of Arizona, and by 4 Grandchildren, Ron Jr., Sadie and her fiancé Ty Painter, Evan, and Owen, nieces and nephews.
