Gary C. Reed, 56, of Shenandoah, passed away Saturday, November 18th, at his residence.

Gary was born in Mahanoy City, PA on August 16, 1961, a son of Evelyn (Narbutitis) Reed, of Mahanoy City and the late Charles Reed.

He worked as chef for most of his life in restaurants in Wildwood NJ, the former "Coal Street Café" in Shenandoah for 16 years, and the Brass Buckle in Conyngham for 10 years.

Gary graduated from Mahanoy Area Class of 1979.

Gary is  also survived by two sons Christopher Reed, of Ashland; Brandon and his Fiancé Emily Jones Reed, of Kelayres; and by a sister, Kimberly Reed, of Mahanoy City; a brother, Brian  Reed, of Barnesville; and grandchildren Harper and Cole.
Gary is preceded in death by a brother Timothy.

Services and interment will take place at German Protestant Cemetery Association Mahanoy City, at 11am Wednesday November 22, 2017, with Rev. Jack Murry Officiating.
