Fred Petritsch, age 91 of Mahanoy City died Monday morning at Broad Mountain Manor Frackville. He was born in Grier City and was the son of the late John and Mary Petritsch. Fred had been self employed in construction as a general contractor.
He was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta RC Church Mahanoy City and had been a member of the Slovak men's Society.
He was preceded in death by his wife the former Cecelia Kufrovich in 1980 and by four brothers, Henry, Ernest, Jacob and Francis Petritsch.

Fred is survived by two sons John of Morea, Mahanoy City and Joseph of Fountain Springs. He has three sisters, Ernestine Petritsch , Plainfield NJ; Henrietta Matuszkiewicz,, Bethel Pa and Valeria Pupko, Grier City.

Grandchildren nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral will be Thursday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Mahanoy City, Mass of Christian burial 10 am. Friends may call at the church from 9 am.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
