Franklin Brown

Franklin (Boomer) Brown, 75, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, April 6th, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Franklin was born in Mahanoy City, PA on October 24, 1946, a son of the late Franklin Brown and Emily (Harper) Brown.

He was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School, Class of 1964 and went on to work construction at Bi State Construction in Easton.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church Mahanoy City and a 50 Year member of the Washington Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Mahanoy City.

He was the husband of Sandra (Gober) Brown.

Franklin is survived by two daughters, Tiffany, wife of Edward Folk, of New Ringgold, PA;  Tracy, wife of Joseph Yutko, of Frackville, PA and by Grandchildren Isabella and Lilyanna Folk and Owen and Evan Yutko.

Franklin is also survived by two sisters, Ann Marie Brocker, of Philadelphia, PA; Cheryl, wife of William Gazen, of York, PA;  also by niece, nephews and cousins.

A Religious Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, Mahanoy City at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 12th, with Rev. Fred Crawford officiating.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 am. until 11:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church.

Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Park Tamaqua, PA.
