Frank S. Volosky, 87, of Shenandoah, died Saturday morning at Trinity Mission, Shenandoah.
Born in William Penn, April 29, 1921, he was a son of the late George and Elizabeth Soichak Volosky.
He lived in Shenandoah most of his life and was a graduate of West Mahanoy Township High School.
He was employed by Hammond Coal Co., Girardville, and other local collieries and also worked for Ametek Corp., Hatfield.
He was a member of St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah, and the church's Holy Name Society.
He was preceded in death by brothers, John, George and Michael Volosky; sisters, Anna Monlish, Mary Volosky and Sue Sweedock.
Surviving
are his wife, the former Isabel Yodis; a son, Joseph Volosky, Tamaqua;
daughters, Elizabeth, wife of Robert Schlack, Shenandoah, Mary, wife of
Jeff Yurkiewicz, Ringtown, Margaret, wife of Joseph Gwiazdowski, York,
and Frances, wife of M. Todd Price, York; a sister, Margaret Bobal,
Coram, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and
nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in
St. Stephen Church. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of
services Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial
Park, Tamaqua, where a white dove will be released at the grave side in
his memory. Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home Inc., Shenandoah, is in
charge of arrangements.
