Obituary
Mrs. Frances Sobolak, 89, of Albrightsville, passed away Wednesday January 12th, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway NJ.
Mrs. Sobolak was born in New Boston, PA on February 2, 1921, the daughter of the late Jacob and Carrie (Muskal) Michaels.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Stanley Sobolak in 2007.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, PA., and also St Peter the Fisherman Church in Albrightsville.
She had worked as a Governess for 30 years in Elizabeth NJ before retiring to Pennsylvania in 1980.
Attended Mahanoy City High School
Survived by
Step Daughter Patricia Anderson of Shrewsbury NJ, and sister Theresa Strano of Colonia NJ, the last of 12 brothers and sisters.
Survived also by many nieces and nephews. 2 step grand children and 1 step great grand child.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 10 AM on Monday, January 17th, with Father Kevin Gallagher officiating.
Friends may call Monday 9 - 10 am at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
Interment at St. Casimir Cemetery Mahanoy City, PA.
Family Prefers donations to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
