Mrs. Frances Obrzut, 91, of Mahanoy City passed away Friday, April 13th, 2012 at Broad Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Frackville, PA.
Mrs. Obrzut was born in Mahanoy City , PA on March 24, 1921, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Kawa) Hitzner.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, PA.
She had graduated from Mahanoy City High School in 1939.
She was the wife of the late Walter Obrzut who passed away in 1997.
She is survived by daughters Elizabeth Keeler, and husband Peter, of Mahanoy City, Maryellen Obrzut of Mahanoy City and Carolyn Obrzut of McAdoo.
Survived also by grandsons Christopher Obrzut with whom she resided and Jess Keeler Mahanoy City, grand daughters Annette and Christine, 7 great grand children, nieces and nephews, and her faithful dog and companion Casey.
Preceded in death by brothers Frank and Walter Hall, and sisters Anna Hall, Helen Glennon, Josephine Bias Lipp, Stasia Hall, Julie Cremin, and Julianna Kersavage.
A private graveside service was held Monday with interment in St Casimir Cemetery Mahanoy City.
